Grandpa doesn't hear well but walks constant routes with a loaded shotgun and will shoot on sight. Slendrina appears suddenly and can stop you in your tracks—if you look directly into her gaze she drains your health, so turn away immediately.

Survival requires careful exploration of dark rooms, hidden compartments, and locked drawers. Key items and tools spawn randomly with each run, forcing you to adapt your strategy. To win, you must assemble the correct parts to secure an exit, whether through the main front gate, repairing the drawbridge, or escaping via the subway train.

Stealth is your best defense. If you hear footsteps, crouch and slide under beds, hide inside closets, or duck behind sofas to break line of sight. Inventory space is limited to one item at a time, so plan your drops carefully. Watch for bear traps on the floor and never jump from high ledges or into the moat, as mistakes cost you a day.

You can fight back temporarily by finding the weapon key to unlock the slingshot or by stunning your pursuers to create a safe window for exploration. Granny 3 adds intense pressure with its three threats and random item placement, making every playthrough a tense escape attempt.
