The puzzle board is where you earn your renovation currency. Your primary generator is the Yellow Bag, which produces Push Pins that start a long merge chain. Every tap on a generator costs one energy point, and the board is often littered with cobwebbed items that must be merged with clean ones to clear space.

Beyond the basic stationery chain, you will find rare items like Solar Panels from advanced toolboxes or garden boxes. A special Mirror Compact item lets you duplicate any object, which is invaluable for saving energy on high-level merges. Managing your inventory, watching ads to reduce generator cooldowns, and merging generators themselves are key strategies for efficient progression.

How to Play Designville: Merge & Design

Start by tapping the Yellow Bag to release Push Pins. Merge two identical items by dragging one onto another to create the next level item. Use the merge chain: 2 Push Pins → Eraser, 2 Erasers → Post-it Note, 2 Post-its → Ruler, 2 Rulers → Round Ruler, 2 Round Rulers → Protractor, 2 Protractors → Pencil, 2 Pencils → Highlighter, 2 Highlighters → Drawing Compass, 2 Drawing Compasses → Stapler, 2 Staplers → Color Sample. Completing merges earns cash used for renovations.

Energy is consumed with every generator tap. It refills automatically over time, or you can get more by watching video ads, purchasing refills, or merging Energy Globes from treasure chests.

Cobwebbed items block the board. To clear them, merge a clean item of the same type into them. Advanced generators like higher-level Toolboxes or Garden Boxes can drop rare items such as Solar Panels.

Use the Mirror Compact by dragging it over any item to duplicate it. Scissors can split an item back into its previous two components if you need a lower-level item.
