Among Us Free brings the beloved social deduction experience to your browser. You and up to 14 other players are aboard a spaceship, but not everyone is on the same team. Most players are Crewmates trying to complete tasks and keep the ship running, while a hidden Impostor (or Impostors) works to sabotage and eliminate the crew.

Each round begins with roles assigned randomly. Crewmates must complete all assigned tasks or identify and vote out every Impostor to win. Impostors, on the other hand, need to eliminate enough Crewmates to even the numbers or cause a critical sabotage that isn't fixed in time.

The game blends cooperation, deception, and deduction. Communication is key: when a body is found or an emergency meeting is called, players discuss via text chat and vote on who to eject. Effective Impostors lie and manipulate, while sharp Crewmates use logs, cameras, and behavioral cues to spot the fakes.

Among Us Free is perfect for parties, remote hangouts, or making new friends online. You can host a private lobby with a code for your friends or join a public match over the internet. The game supports 4 to 15 players per lobby.

How to Play Among Us Free

Join or host a game. When the round starts, check your role: Crewmate or Impostor. As a Crewmate, complete tasks listed on your screen. As an Impostor, pretend to do tasks, sabotage systems, and eliminate Crewmates when safe. If you find a body or suspect someone, report it or call an emergency meeting. Discuss with other players via text chat, then vote for who you think the Impostor is. The game ends when all tasks are completed, all Impostors are ejected, the Impostors equal or outnumber the Crewmates, or a critical sabotage goes unfixed.

Tips for Among Us Free

As a Crewmate, complete tasks quickly but be aware of your surroundings. Use security cameras and the Admin Map to track player movement. Stick with a buddy for safety. As an Impostor, fake tasks convincingly by standing near task locations. Use vents to move quickly and escape after a kill. Sabotage lights or communications to create confusion and split the crew. During discussions, listen carefully and don't be afraid to accuse or defend with logical reasons.
